RULES FOR VISITORS

As with other F1 events, Mexico City Grand Prix visitors are obliged to abide by the rules set by the organisers. Below you will find a basic overview of them:

WHAT CAN'T YOU TAKE WITH YOU?

Items that can be used to damage or deface property - or any part of the circuit and its surroundings - as well as obstructions, hindrances or interruptions to the race, affecting public safety, as well as any merchandise or tickets for commercial distribution and any dangerous items, are prohibited by law. 

Anyone entering the entertainment area will be subject to a check/search.

Refusal may result in not being admitted without a refund. Please note that certain items are not allowed to be brought into the entertainment area. 

The list of prohibited items includes, but is not limited to:

  • Backrest for seat cushions
  • Balls or frisbees (plate or frisbee)
  • Belts with studs and/or large buckles
  • Bicycles, skateboards or longboards
  • Blankets
  • Camping backpacks
  • Coolers
  • Drones (designations for various types of unmanned aircraft)
  • External food or drink
  • Firearms
  • Glass bottles or cans
  • Go Pro bars, selfie sticks
  • Chains or wallets with chains
  • Chairs
  • Musical instruments
  • Pets
  • Pointed umbrellas
  • Pole flags
  • Sharp objects
  • Stuffed animals
  • Tents, chairs and trolleys
  • Tripods, monopods, reflective displays and lighting
  • Unauthorised substances
  • Video cameras or recording devices

WHAT CAN YOU TAKE WITH YOU?

We generally recommend visitors of F1 races to pack light and take only the essentials - money, phone, spare battery for their camera, etc. There is a wide range of food and drinks available at the race circuit, of course, don't forget your ticket for each specific day and valid ID for yourself and your children.

Please note that only umbrellas with round ends are allowed. It is recommended to bring a raincoat so as not to obstruct the view of the participants.

  • Cameras (professional cameras must be no larger than 300mm and have no more than two lenses)

  • Rain Boots
  • Raincoats
  • Standard small luggage (backpack, pannier)
  • Stroller (small, e.g. pushchair)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
