Using public transport is the easiest and cheapest option for the Mexico City Grand Prix. In Mexico City, we recommend using the local metro and metrobús in this regard.
The Metro and Metrobús are an integral part of public transport and serve millions of passengers every day.
Mexico City Metro
Mexico City's metro system is one of the largest and busiest in the world. It consists of 12 colour-coded lines that serve different parts of the city and its suburbs. The metro is known for its efficiency and affordability, making it a popular mode of transport for many residents. However, it can be very crowded at peak times.
Metrobús
Metrobús is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system that operates in Mexico City. It consists of several lines with dedicated lanes that provide faster travel times, similar to a light rail system. Metrobús serves as an important complement to the metro and offers connections to areas not directly served by metro lines. It is popular among commuters for its speed and reliability.
When choosing between the metro and the metrobús on the way to the circuit, choose according to where your stand is located (overview here).
In the case of the metro, use the stops Velódromo, Ciudad Deportiva, and Puebla, which are on Line 9 (brown).
For the metro bus, use the stops UPIICSA, and El Rodeo, which are on Line 2 (purple).
The Mexico City circuit organises the Ticket2ride service. It is a shuttle service from selected locations to the circuit and back. Tickets can be purchased online and can be purchased for individual days (Friday to Sunday).
Shuttle departs from the Mundo E shopping centre (more details here) or from the Interlomas Paseo shopping centre (more details here).
